Community Events

In Del Ray (& beyond) community events are a great way to get out of the house and meet your neighbors and make new friends!

Jen Walker is very involved in our Del Ray community on a daily basis.  She could just simply be hangin' out at the St. Elmo's Coffee Pub.  Or maybe you find her busy hosting her very own Outdoor Movie at Cinema Del Ray on the third Saturday evening of May thru August.  Maybe you caught her being the "Sheriff of Pie" at Art on the Avenue the first Saturday in October, or in the Halloween Parade the last Sunday of October.  The bottom line is - Jen Walker devotes much of her time and energy to help make these and other great events happen for everyone to enjoy.

Farmer's Market Every Saturday - 8 AM until Noon   The Farmers' Market is still at Mount Vernon & East Oxford Avenue every Saturday morning now from 8 a.m. to Noon.  Come get some of the best locally grown and sold goodies there!

May 6th - First Thursday! First Thursday begins again on May 6th and runs through September 2. The theme for May's event is "Kids Creating Community." This is a Del Ray Business Association event. As always, First Thursdays take place along Mt. Vernon Avenue from 6-9 PM.

Beginning May 15, 2010 - Cinema Del Ray The fun starts at 7:00 PM, Shows start at Dusk   May 15 - Toy Story June 19 - Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs July 17 - Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark August 21 - Monsters VS Aliens   Bring Family, neighbors and friends to the Mt. Vernon Rec Center For free, open-air showings of Hit Films! Sorry, no four-legged friends.

Del Ray House and Garden Tour   Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   Hold the Date! Details coming soon.

Saturday, June 26 - Del Ray Music Festival   Come enjoy the 4th annual Del Ray Music Festival will occur from 10:00am - 10:00pm in the field next to the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center (corner of Mt. Vernon and Commonwealth Avenues). Sorry, No Dogs. Platinum sponsor: Jen Walker.
